How to delete the HiBeaver account you sign in to with Facebook, what that removes, and how to revoke HiBeaver's access at Facebook.

What HiBeaver stores
When you sign in with Facebook, HiBeaver keeps only what it needs to recognise your account:
- your Facebook account ID, which is how HiBeaver recognises you when you sign in again;
- the email address Facebook shares with HiBeaver; and
- the name on your Facebook account, used as your display name.
Short-lived access tokens are used only as needed and are not retained as account data.
Deleting this data deletes your account
Signing in with Facebook is how you reach your HiBeaver account, so there is no way to remove that connection and keep the account. Deleting your Facebook data means deleting the HiBeaver account itself, along with your learning progress, notes, memories, stories, recordings, and feedback.
- Sign in to the HiBeaver account you created with Facebook.
- Open Feedback and send a request with the subject “Delete my account.”
- We verify that the request comes from the account owner, then delete the account.
Self-service account deletion is being prepared. Until it ships, we handle requests manually so that we can confirm ownership first. Never include a password or an access token in a request.
Revoke access from Facebook
You can also review and revoke HiBeaver from your Facebook apps and websites settings. Revoking there stops HiBeaver from using your Facebook account, and you will no longer be able to sign in. It does not delete the data already stored in HiBeaver, so complete the request above as well.
